Prerequisites
Attendance of Jan or Nov 2024 winter safety lectures. Prior winter hiking experience recommended. Physical condition for this distance and elevation gain.

Join us Sunday on a winter hike to two of the 52-With-A-View peaks in NH: Black Mtn. and Blueberry Mtn.! Black Mtn. is tied for the 52WAV with the best view (10/10), because of its incredible views of Mt. Moosilauke. This is officially a winter trip, so to sign up, you must have attended the two mandatory winter safety lectures either in January 2024 or November 2024, or have been a MITOC winter leader.

Blueberry Mtn. (4.8 mi, 1310 ft. gain), map

We are having a mandatory pre-trip meeting on Saturday November 30 at 4pm in the MITOC office in the Student Center, room W20-461, where participants can rent gear such as winter boots and microspikes.

We'll leave Cambridge at 5am and stop for a quick breakfast near the trailheads. We'll hike at a moderate pace.

If you can drive your own car or are willing to drive a rental car, edit the lottery preferences on your MITOC profile to show this.

Expected trip cost per person is $30-50 to cover car costs. If you are an MIT undergrad, this cost can be reimbursed.
