This is a stand-up paddleboarding leader orientation for current MITOC leaders interested in leading beginner-friendly paddleboarding trips.

To participate in this trip, you must:

• be a current MITOC (co-)leader

• be able to swim

• have prior paddleboarding experience and be comfortable leading a paddling trip

We will also ask that all participants on this trip take a paddleboard home to dry after the trip.

Itinerary:

• 9am: meet outside the MIT student center, at the entrance by the bike parking spots

• 9-10am: load the paddleboards onto the cars, and drive to Mystic Lake

• 10am-11:30am: inflate paddleboards and paddle in the lake

• 11:30am-12pm: trip leaders orientation (trip planning logistics and safety info)

• 12:30pm: pack paddleboards and drive back to MIT

In case of poor weather, we will reschedule to Sunday, 9/15.
