Can’t make it to the mountains this weekend but want to summit something, meet new people, and eat some ice cream? Join us this Sunday for a chatty running adventure first to the summit of "Bunker Hill" (actually Breed's Hill) and then onward to Christina’s ice cream!
We’ll depart from the MIT student center at 11am on a ~5 mile route (something like this) heading from MIT, along the Charles River, up Breed's Hill (with the option to go up the stairs of the Bunker Hill monument), and then toward Inman Square for ice cream (paid for by MITOC).
This will be a no drop run (we’ll run at a pace that’s comfortable for everyone), but as a rough guideline, you should currently be comfortable running 3-4 miles (flat road) at a 9-10 min/mi pace.
This trip is part of MITOC’s back-to-school initiative – anyone is welcome to sign up, but priority will be given to MIT students, especially those new to MITOC!
