Celebrate the start of the semester and learn to stand-up paddle board (SUP) on the Charles River!
We'll meet at the Student Centre at 1pm (on Sunday 9/1) to walk the SUPs to a launch point 1 mile away. After launching, we'll learn to control our boards before crossing the Charles River Basin to explore the Esplanade Lagoons. We'll paddle around for at least an hour - possibly longer if everyone is feeling energetic.
- You must be able to swim
- Paddling experience is not necessary
- Bring water, appropriate clothing, and a towel (expect to end up wet)
- Cost: $15 for MITOC board rental
- Everyone will take their SUP home afterwards to dry
- Spaces on this trip will be allocated by lottery, students will be prioritised
In case of poor weather, we will attempt to reschedule to Monday 9/2.
