Looking for good views, chill vibes, and sunny weather this weekend? Join for a day hike to Hedgehog and Potash mountains on Sunday, August 25! This is an 8.2mi hike with 2800 ft of elevation gain – this is a moderate hike to two separate mountains that share a trailhead. Both are on the 52 with-a-view :)

Right now, the weather is looking sunny and warm (60s/70s), but we might shift to Saturday or cancel the trip if necessary.

Route: From our trailhead, we’ll take the UNH trail loop to/from Hedgehog mountain before taking the Potash mountain trail to/from Potash mountain (out-and-back). Route here

Logistics: We’ll leave Cambridge Sunday morning (~6AM). There will be a mandatory pre-trip meeting on Thursday at 7PM (08/22) on Zoom.

Costs: Please budget for: $30-50 carpooling costs, any personal gear rentals, and any food you buy along the way. We intend to use the MIT car cost calculator and share costs equally among participants [~$120/150 per car].

If you’re unsure about prerequisites, please email Charlotte! We may add spots based on car availability – if the trip shows as full and you’re interested, please join the wait list!

Notes: 1. Have you hiked something comparable in the last 6 months? Please list approximate dates, mileage, and elevation gain. 2. Do you have hiking boots or trail runners? 3. What is your favorite type of view? 4. Do you have a car you can drive? If not, are you willing to rent and drive?
