The training will be held in the MITOC office (W20-461), Saturday July 13th, 3:00-4:15pm. Timing is slightly flexible, reach out if you'd like to attend but would have to be late or leave early and we'll see if we can make it work. If there is enough interest we might do a second session later in the evening (note in sign up). If under 8 people sign up, it's possible we will cancel the training.
Please bring a laptop or tablet which we will use for practice.
Why become a desk worker?
- To get more involved in MITOC, and help MITOCers get outside!
- To help make trips, and big events like Acadia, Circus, and Winterschool possible!
- To be able to check out and return gear on your own, avoiding the queue at the desk. (Super useful for busy weekends and big trips!)
- If you are a current student you can get office access and check out/return gear whenever you want.
- To get desk credit that you can spend on rentals, trip fees, gear, classes, memberships, purchasables, cabin stays, and MITOC shwag.
Who should become a deskwroker?
