Ever heard of the pyramids in Egypt? Well, we just checked, but the pyramids in New Hampshire (South Tripyrimad, Middle Tripyramid, North Tripyramid, all between 4100-4200ft) are actually quite a bit taller than the famous ones! What makes the pyramids of New Hampshiza pyramids? We don't know. Join us if you want to find out too.

This is a long 11mi/3000ft elevation hike starting on the Sabbaday Brook Trail which has some river crossings involved, up to the Tripyramids but, to make it more exciting and a loop, down the Pine Bend Brook Trail. To get back to the cars the last mile are along the road, which, however, we could shorten if we have enough cars to leave one at the other parking. Planned route.

At the moment the trails seem to be well packed that we don't need snowshoes, but there might be fresh snow on Wednesday, so we'll confirm that later during the week. Also in combination with the river crossings on the Sabbaday Brook Trail. Weather is still a bit up in the air, but at the moment it doesn't look like super cold or super windy. We'll keep checking the forecasts though.

Requirements: Have attended 2024 winter school lectures, be fit and happy to hit some 11mi/3000ft, have done some similar (at least) 3-season hikes before, know your layering, be excited and be happy!

Trip meeting probably at the MITOC office on Thu 6pm in case anyone needs to rent some gear too. But if you have any questions just reach out!
