Details
We'll be hiking Osceola via the less-travelled southern approach. We'll be cross country skiing along the Tripoli road, which is closed in the winter. We'll transition from skis to hiking at Thornton gap (after ~2.75mi), and hike up to Osceola. If time and energy permit, we might bag the east peak as well, before turning around and retracing our steps back out. Route
Requirements
Previous winter hiking experience is required. You should also have previous hiking experience of >10mi and >3k ft! Since we'll be using cross country skis, you should be a comfortable cross country or downhill skier.
Please budget for the following expenses: $5 trip fee, up to $15 for rentals, and $20-50 carpooling costs.
