Prerequisites
Previous winter hiking experience. Physical condition for a hike of this length and elevation gain.

Join us on a hike to Mt. Garfield, a 4000-footer whose dramatic conical peak at the northern end of the Franconia Ridge gives a unique view of the ridge and the Pemigewasset Wilderness, from its treeless summit area!

Hike: 12.4 mi, 3300 ft. gain, but grades are moderate so it's not quite as hard as the length might make it seem. Map: https://caltopo.com/p/Q83N5

We will leave Cambridge early so that we can hike at a comfortable pace. We'll stop for a quick breakfast along the way.

Mandatory pre-trip meeting Thursday Feb 1 at 6pm in the Student Center.

Participants will share car costs (about $120/car). If you can drive your own car or are willing to drive a rental car, please edit the lottery preferences on your MITOC profile to show this.
