Join us for a 5.3 miles round trip hike to the top of Cannon peak (with a stop at the Lonesome Lake!) in the beautiful White Mountains. With the elevation gain of 2340 ft, this will be an excellent workout and a chance to practice those winter hiking skills! The views from the top are supposed to be breath-taking (if the weather cooperates and we get good visibility ;-) ).
This is an intermediate (but definitely on the easier-side) winter hike.
Prerequisites: good general fitness, some summer hiking experience preferred. The mandatory pre-trip meeting is on Thursday at 6pm in front of the MIT Student Center.
