- Prior three-season hiking experience, including at least one 6+ mile hike of >3000ft elevation gain in the last six months. Winter hiking experience preferred.

This hike is 8 miles with 3000 ft of elevation gain, via Dicey's Mill Trail out-and-back. Expect a moderate, steady incline for the majority of the hike, with a steeper half mile leading up to the summit. The route is here. This is a moderate to difficult hike. It will be a great opportunity to hone your (de)layering skills and practice using traction (most likely microspikes)!
There will be a mandatory pre-trip meeting on Thursday 1/18 after the lecture.
We will need a couple drivers for this trip! Please update your car status if you can drive (put "willing to rent" if you can rent — MIT provides discounted car rental, and we'll evenly split rental/gas costs).
