Want to practice your winter layering this weekend while frolicking in the snow? Then come join us for a chilly winter hike up Mt. Tecumseh!

We'll start from the Waterville Valley Ski Area and go straight up the Mt. Tecumseh Trail to the top and back (link to route). The route is 4.9 miles, with 2300ft elevation gain.

Temperatures will be very cold this weekend, with lows down to 7F / -14C (-20F / -28C with windchill) at the Tecumseh summit on Saturday (link to summit forecast, and forecast for nearby town Lincoln).

Tecumseh is one of the easier New Hampshire 4k's, however the elevation gain and cold temps will make this a moderately difficult hike and a good fit for those with (1) experience layering & hiking in sub-freezing weather and (2) moderate fitness level.
