- Ice climbing experience OR winter outdoor experience + outdoor rock climbing experience; solid top rope belaying skills
Beginner/Intermediate ice climbing for both those new to ice climbing and those who have ice climbed before. We will go over ice climbing basics at the start of the trip. There is a ~1.5 mile hike in to Arethusa Falls where we will set up some top rope climbs.
Saturday will be super cold (real feel temperatures between -15F and 0F) and ice climbing involves minimum 50% standing around belaying, so having your cold-weather kit dialed is a necessity.
Please note that the pre-trip meeting will be Thursday 9pm after lecture (may conflict with Sunday trip pre-trip meetings).
