Join us on Jackson & Webster via the Jackson-Webster Loop Trail!
This is approximately a 6.4 mile hike with about ~2,400 feet of elevation gain. There will be a mandatory pre-trip meeting on Thursday, January 18 at the MITOC office. There will be an opportunity to rent gear at that time as well.
Mt. Jackson (4052') is located on the Presidential Range (although it’s not named after President Jackson!) and offers great views. Although the hike is below treeline, the summit is exposed so we will get a chance to experience above-treeline conditions. We will be using microspikes, and possibly snowshoes depending on conditions. If time permits, we will hop along to Mt. Webster which sits next to Jackson and is listed as one of the 52 mountains with a view. The overall elevation gain and winter conditions will make this a moderate to hard hike.
