What?? I thought MITOC was an outdoors club?!

Climbing is a "gateway" activity. Even if the roads out of town look messy Saturday morning, we can avoid them and have fun doing an outdoor adjacent activity!

Is there a target audience?

Everyone is welcome! If you're new to climbing, come try it out for the first time. If you're a veteran climber, come get an extra session in this week.

Regardless of your experience level, come make new friends in the MITOC community!

When?

The plan is to climb at 2pm. We'll probably climb for at least 2 hours, but you're welcome to come and go when you please.

Transportation

Looks like there is an easy bus route to get to the gym from MIT.

If you're feeling generous and want to help people drive to the gym, we've started a rideshare document. Friendly drivers can put down their starting location or a general pickup location, and hopefully help a few people to and from the gym!

Cost

Price on the website is listed as $34 for a day pass. If you're an active member with a monthly free day pass that you'd be willing to use for a new climber, please include that in your signup.

Update: Given we can get most people in on free member monthly day passes, we'll tabulate the total cost we couldn't cover, and evenly redistribute that reduced cost amongst non-member participants.

Safety

Please complete step 1 and the first two parts of step 2 of CRG waivers and orientation before arriving (to maximize climb time)!
