Mt Hale is one of the easier 4000 footers in the Whites, at 9 miles round trip, where 4 of which is on an access road (we can practice delayering, snacking and staying hydrated!!!).
Route:
There will be a total of about 2300 ft of elevation gain on this hike after the nice gentle 2.5 mi warm up on the access road to practice. AllTrails caltopo
Weather:
It is likely to be cold with highs around 3F at the peak with high winds. See the forecast here We will require face coverings (balaclavas, ski goggles) on this trip. Please bring them to the pre-trip meeting!
Fees
Winter Hike Trip fee $5 + Rental gear Participants will also share car costs (gas, wear/tear)
There will be a mandatory pre-trip meeting in-person at 9:00pm on Thursday Jan. 11th at the MITOC office.
Please bring winter hiking boots you will be wearing on Sunday to the pre-trip meeting
