Come learn to cross-country ski with us on the trails of Waterville Valley this MLK holiday! In the morning, we'll start with a short intro on how to classic XC ski, then hit the trails, and in the last hour we'll practice our new skiing skills by making ice cream while XC skiing! Curious? We'll plan to start skiing by 9am and head back to Boston at 2pm.

Mandatory in-person pre-trip meeting Thursday, January 11 at 5:30pm (before the Winter School lecture) in MITOC office W20-461 located in the student center building.

Participants will share car costs (gas, wear/tear), if you are able to drive or rent a car please indicate this on your lottery preferences. There is a max fee of $20 ($5 Winter School hiking/XC ski fee + XC ski rentals), if you have your own skis you only need to pay the $5. Required Trail Pass is $27/person (MIT undergrads may be reimbursed)

Prerequisites: Must rent skis from MITOC or have your own, love of ice cream in cold temperatures, ideas for toppings
