Join us on a day hike to Mt Hight and Carter Dome in the White Mountains of New Hampshire! We will start from Nineteen Mile Brook Trailhead, ascend to Mt Hight via Nineteen-Mile Brook and Carter Dome Trails, take Carter-Moriah Trail to summit Carter Dome and descend to Carter Lakes, and then descend via Nineteen-Mile Brook Trail for a partial loop. It is a reasonably difficult hike, but should have great views of the Presidential Range from Mt Hight (weather permitting), and Carter Dome is on the 4000-footer list!
Date: Sunday October 22nd
Departure from MIT: by 5:45am
Mandatory pre-trip meeting: Thursday evening at 8pm.
The route is roughly 10.2 miles with 3600 feet of elevation gain. It may be chilly, so be sure to bring some layers.
