Join us on a 2-day trip to hike on the best trails in northern New Hampshire (and we really mean north, north of Mt. Cabot!) We're planning to hike October 8-9. We plan to do at least the first three of the following hikes:

  1. Rogers Ledge (spectacular view), with a side trip to Devil's Hopyard (a Terrifying 25 elective): 11.6 mi, 2000 ft. gain.

  2. Table Rock (a full-fledged T25, with a narrow rock that juts out into the air over Dixville Notch): 1.6 mi, 750 ft. gain.

  3. Percy Peaks loop (another T25 elective - slabs): 6 mi, 2200 ft. gain.

and maybe even the farthest north of the 52-with-a-view:

  1. Magalloway Mtn.: 2.2 mi, 900 ft. gain.

On day 1, we'll leave Cambridge around 4am, stop for a quick breakfast, hike from South Ponds to Rogers Ledge and back, set up tents (rentable from MITOC) at our campground, and visit Table Rock for the sunset if we have time before returning to the campground. We'll be sleeping at Mollidgewock State Park Campground - we already reserved tentsites along the scenic Androscoggin River there!

On day 2, we'll visit Table Rock if we didn't already do so (or maybe Magalloway Mtn.), hike the Percy Peaks loop, and drive back to Cambridge, arriving late!

We'll have a short pre-trip meeting on zoom Wednesday, October 4 at 6:00pm to finalize plans.

If you can drive your own car or are willing to drive a rental car, edit the lottery preferences on your MITOC profile to show this. Transportation costs will be shared by all (perhaps ~$50/person), and there will also be a cost for staying at the campground (~$10/person).
