Join us for an evening run in Middlesex Fells with Northeast Trail Crew, a Boston-area trail running club.
The route details vary week-to-week, but will be about 7 miles and 700 ft of elevation gain at a 10:30 min/mi pace (trail pace; feels very different from running on flat road at a 10:30 min/mi pace).
We'll leave MIT at 6:00pm, meet at the Medford High parking lot at 6:30pm, and join the run with NTC. We'll be back at MIT around 8:30pm.

Prerequisites
You should have some trail running experience and be able to run the distance/pace/elevation of the run. E.g., if you've been coming on the weekly MITOC Reservoir Trail runs, you should be fine on this run; it will likely be a little faster than our weekly runs, but they also take breaks.
If you're unsure about whether you satisfy the prereqs for this trip, please email the trip leaders.
Required gear
- Headlamp (we will be running in the dark, you must have a headlamp)
- Phone (for additional safety, in case anyone gets lost)
Logistics
This trip is basically a car-pool to the Fells. We'll take as many people as we can, given the number of drivers we end up with (+ taking into account people who are willing to do rideshares or rent zipcars).

- Notes
- Have you been trail running before?
- Can you help drive people to the fells? If you have a car, put down "Can drive own car" and list how many passengers you can bring. If you can rent a zipcar, write down "Can rent zipcar" and list how many passengers you can bring. If you're willing to coordinate a rideshare, write down "Can call rideshare". For zipcar/rideshare, costs will be split between people in the car.
