Become a 3-season hiking leader for MITOC!
There will be a Safety & Training Seminar on Thursday, September 12th at 7.00-8:00pm. We will meet in person only, on MIT campus - Building 56, Room 114.
I’ll send the slides beforehand in case you want to read them in advance or use them for notes.
Food (pizza) will be provided.
To become a hiking leader and organize trips with mitoc you will need to:
Have participated in at least 2 official hiking trips
Submit an application at mitoc-trips.mit.edu/hiking/leaders/apply
Attend this 3-season hiking Safety & Training Seminar.
Doing so will grant you a co-leader status. You can receive full leader status after leading 2 hikes as co-leader and receive upgrade recommendations. We will also assign full-leader status on a case-by-case evaluation of previous outdoor leadership expertise.
