tl;dr: evening running/social trip to Middlesex Fells, an awesome local green space. Run 4–6 miles and then hang out and eat some pizza.

Join us for an evening run of your choice of:

Trail running video

This will be a no-drop run: we will split into groups, and each group will run at a pace that's comfortable for everybody.

We'll leave MIT at 3:45pm, meet at the Sheepfold parking lot at 4:00pm, and start running around 4:15pm. Once we're back at Sheepfold, we'll eat some pizza!

Fees: there are no fees associated with this trip — pizza is on MITOC! Sign-ups are required so we know how much food to get.

Transportation: please update your car status to help us figure out transportation. Most likely, enough people will have cars to get everybody to/from the Fells. There is also Uber/Lyft, public transportation, and you could also bike and/or run. We will coordinate transportation the day before the trip.

Gear: if you are not familiar with navigating in the Fells, we require that you bring a cell phone. This is a no-drop run and we will stick together, but it's good to have a cell phone for additional safety.

Prerequisites: This trip is perfect as an introductory trail run, but you should be in decent physical shape and have non-zero hiking experience. As a rough guideline, you should: be comfortable running 4 miles on flat road, and have done a hike before. Prior trail running experience is not required.
