We cordially invite you to join us in celebrating a milestone in MITOC’s history – the 50th birthday of our beloved Camelot cabin. Please join us on Saturday, August 26th, 2023, to celebrate our cabin and community, and reminisce about past adventures and camaraderie.

Alumni and especially older alumni are especially encouraged to attend this event. We are very pleased to announce that some of the original builders from 1973 will be in attendance!

This event will run as an open cabin (NOT a circus), with everyone coming together Saturday afternoon and evening for a group celebration.

Details of the Event:

Location: Camelot Cabin, North Groton, NH

Cost: We request a donation to the Camelot fund, in whatever amount you can afford. (https://mitoc.mit.edu/camelot)

Transportation: Rideshare will be sent out to those who sign up. Spaces may be limited, first come first serve.

Accommodation: We have plenty of space for camping on the Camelot property. Due to the size of this event, we are not planning for any sleeping space inside the cabin.

Schedule:

Friday August 25 evening: Open cabin at Camelot starting at 3pm

Saturday August 26 morning: Local events based out of Camelot – swimming at Sculptured Rocks, climbing at Rumney, mountain biking at Green Woodlands, easy local hikes (Rattlesnake Mountain), or just relaxing at the cabin

Saturday August 26, 4pm-late: The official 50th anniversary celebration including dinner, cake, and a campfire

Sunday August 27: Open cabin at Camelot until noon
