It is time for 3-season hiking and we need leaders!
EDIT: THIS TRAINING WILL BE ON ZOOM ONLY!!
There will be a Safety & Training Seminar on Wednesday, July 10th at 6.30-7:30pm. You can join ONLY on zoom.
I’ll send the slides beforehand in case you want to read them in advance or use them for notes.
To lead hiking trips with mitoc you will need to:
Have participated in at least 2 official hiking trips
Submit an application at mitoc-trips.mit.edu/hiking/leaders/apply
Attend a 3-season hiking Safety & Training Seminar.
Doing so will grant you a co-leader status. You can receive full leader status after leading 2 hikes as co-leader and receive upgrade recommendations. We will also assign full-leader status on a case-by-case evaluation of previous outdoor leadership expertise.
