Join us in hiking up Mt. Liberty and Mt. Flume, two 4000-footers with great views into Franconia Notch and the Pemigewasset Wilderness! To spice things up, we'll do a point-to-point hike starting at the Basin waterfall, up Liberty Springs Trail and down the Osseo Trail, ending at Lincoln Woods.
The Terrifying 25 website says "Osseo... is on the T25 because this trek is a good way for the timid hiker to ease into this list. The ladders on Osseo are probably the safest, most stable ladders in the Whites."
The hike is 10.7 mi with 3600 ft. gain. The plan will be to leave Cambridge early so that we can hike at a comfortable pace. There is a chance of light showers, but it is too early to say.
We will have a pre-trip meeting Fri May 19 at 6pm on zoom.
If you can drive your own car or are willing to drive a rental car, edit the “Lottery preferences” on your MITOC profile to show this.
