After a winter weekend in the Whites, come soothe tired muscles! Our excellent yoga "guru", Sandy, starts this yoga class with some social time so you can meet others, and so we can each tell her what's sore: legs from a long lovely hike? shoulders from swinging ice tools? She tailors the class to meet our needs, and the class is friendly to all levels of yogi--it's fine if you've never done yoga before.
Yoga is both in person and online. Sign up on this trip to attend IN PERSON (space limited)--or sign up on the trip "Yoga-zoom" if you'd rather attend in the comfort of your own home.
When: 6-7:30 PM
Where: E51-085
How to get in: You may enter E51 without a Tim Ticket BEFORE 6pm. If you arrive late, E62 will be open until 7pm, so you can go around the long way to get to the classroom: enter E62, cross to E52, go up two floors and cross to E51, then go down to the basement.
Communal mats, blocks, straps, and balls are available, along with cleaning wipes. Folks are usually on “MIT time,” meaning class actually starts 5-10 minutes after the hour. But arrive on time to help set up the room, please!
There’s a small fee: go to https://mitoc.mit.edu/pay, select the trip/event “Yoga”, and choose the highest fee that keeps you comfortable coming back. You can choose any multiple of $5 by increasing the quantity. Larger amounts are appreciated! For comparison, a typical yoga class costs $25 or more, but you are welcome here regardless of how much you can contribute toward Sandy's pay. We look forward to seeing you!
