- Prerequisites
- You must have attended at least one MITOC trip prior to this training.
This training will be held in the MITOC boathouse (N52, first floor, enter through loading dock, https://goo.gl/maps/3GY7qHUmSLhmjSsK6), from 3-4:15pm on Saturday March 4th. Please bring a laptop or tablet (not just a phone) and try to arrive ~5 minutes early to get checked in. We'll run for about an hour and then join with the boathouse orientation at 4pm.
Why become a desk worker?
- To get more involved in MITOC, and help MITOCers get outside!
- To be able to check out and return gear on your own, avoiding the queue at the desk. If you are a current student you can even get office access and do that whenever you want.
- To get desk credit that you can spend on rentals, gear, and MITOC shwag.
We will be covering rental policy and procedures, gear location in the office, difficult questions during office hours, and anything/everything else pertaining to desk shifts.
For more information, check out the Gear Rentals page, or email mitoc-desk@mit.edu.
* Optional * if you'd like to earn some desk credit, there will be some inventory work happening after the training :)
