Brave the cold this weekend and join us for a XC Backcountry ski in Pinkham Notch!
We will meet at AMC Pinkham Notch Visitor Center and xc ski the Old Jackson Rd/Auto Rd/Connie's Way Ski Tr. This is a challenging but fun loop! It starts with a steep climb that will bring us to the lower section of the Mt. Washington Auto Road. After the descent on the Auto Road, Connie’s Way will bring us back to the Pinkham Notch Visitor Center.
It is about 6 miles and 600 feet of elevation gain. However, most of the gain is packed into the first 0.8 miles. Past xc ski experience is required, preferably in the backcountry on variable conditions. Additionally, it will be very cold this weekend, and while it is supposed to be relatively warmer on Sunday, be prepared for cold and windy conditions.
