Sleep in and enjoy second breakfast and gorgeous 360 degree views with us! Join us on Saturday for waffles on Mount Wachusett, a local-ish mountain (~1 hour drive from MIT, leaving at 9:00).
It is freezing on the peak most of the week and we will encounter some snow and ice on the trip. We will bring microspikes a for traction (can be rented from MITOC). The loop is 4.9-miles long and has an elevation gain of 1150ft.
The pre-trip meeting will be on Thursday, 26 January 18:15 by La Verde's in the student centre.
This is a great hike for someone with 3 season experience who is looking to get into winter hiking or anyone looking for a hiker on the easier/moderate end of the spectrum. Winter experience is not a pre-req for this trip.
