We are heading up to Mount Waumbek via Starr King Trail and Killkenny Ridge Trail. The hike is ~7 miles with 2700 ft of elevation gain. We will pass Mount Starr King on the way.

This will be a perfect hike for folks who have some experience with three-season hiking but are still relatively new to winter hiking. We will focus on practicing winter basics such as traction and(de)layering. We do hope to hike at a moderately fast pace so keep this in mind when signing up.
The weather will be in the teens so please make sure you have enough warm clothes and waterproof winter boots. If needed, please review "Winter Clothing" and "Basic Gear/Essentials" from the first winter school lecture.
