Prerequisites
Previous winter hiking experience (B trip or equivalent). Previous hiking experience (any season) of similar mileage and elevation.

Disclaimer: the name Mt Moosilauke come from the Abenaki language, and most likely means "bald place". Nothing to do with mooses sadly, but we can still hope to spot one! If conditions are good though, we should get great views from the summit!

The hike will be about 10 miles (including 1.4 miles of easy walking along a closed road), with 2,500ft of elevation.

If conditions allow, we'll butt-sled down the mountain, weeee!

This trip is a good introduction to above treeline if you haven't had the chance to try it yet!
