We'll depart early Saturday morning (by 5am) and head up to the west side of Franconia Notch. From there, the trail leads us to Lonesome Lake in 1 mile and beyond there to Kinsman Pond in another 2 miles. In total, the trip is 6.1 miles with about 2,600 feet of elevation gained and lost. We will aim to be back in Boston before 5pm.
Depending on the trail conditions and the speed of the group, we will have options to modify the route, potentially adding North Kinsman summit or a loop over the Cannon Balls, or skipping Kinsman Pond and looping around Lonesome Lake instead.
