Winter is a great time to hike Monadnock and skip the crowds, while still getting amazing 360-degree views from the bare summit. The trip will be around 4 miles and 1800' of elevation - great bang for your buck! Monadnock is a great introduction to hiking above the tree line and the perfect place for beginners to try slightly harder/steeper terrain. The trails are often icy, so we'll practice using traction, layering, and any other skills folks are excited to learn.
