Prerequisites
Downhill ski experience (can ski blacks) + some uphill hiking experience - it's not that easy to hike up with all that metal strapped to your feet!

Do you love skiing and would like to explore what's beyond the resorts?

Come join us and learn safely how to "earn your turns" in the backcountry! We'll be headed to King Pine, a local downhill ski resort in Madison, NH - a safe place to learn and practice the basics of backcountry skiing. It's a 350 ft mountain, meaning we can rip up and down as many times as our legs and lungs hold up, practicing everything from preparation, to skinning up, switching from uphill to downhill mode, and skiing down. We'll have energizing hot chocolate breaks in between, and make sure to do our snow dances to get some fresh snow, so in the next weekends we can practice our skills in the actual backcountry!

Please note that this trip is at a resort, so there is an additional $10 fee to buy an uphill ticket.
