We’ll be heading up Mt Cardigan for one day of exploring this Sunday (Jan 15) - a good chance to sharpen your winter hike skills while enjoying great views!
Total distance of ~7 miles, elevation gain of ~2000 ft (Check out the AllTrails route here: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-hampshire/mt-cardigan-back-80-loop?u=i)
While Cardigan is relatively low in altitude (less than 3200ft), it is very exposed and is a great exercise for above treeline travel, so ski goggles and full face covering are strongly recommended.
Temps are forecasted to be in the 20s (F) with pretty clear skies.
