Cannon is a classic and popular 4000 footer with beautiful views! We'll be taking the path up via the Lonesome Lake before going up to the summit. We expect it to be icy, but not too treacherous.

The trail is 7 miles long with 2500' of elevation. No particular hiking experience is necessary, but this will be a long day in the cold. This will be a good chance to practice using traction (most likely microspikes) and practice our winter layering and food choices.

Important note: one of the leaders will be bringing their dog along. If you are not comfortable around dogs, this is probably not a good hike for you.
