Every multipitch trad climber should learn some basic self-rescue skills to help get out of sticky situations. This TRS is not a replacement for a rock self-rescue course, but we will introduce some common scenarios you may encounter and provide some suggestions on how to handle them. Topics will likely include how to bail safely, how to use a damaged rope, freeing stuck ropes, carabiner block rappels, munter belay, and assisting your partner (haul or lower).
