Want to be able to submit a reservation request to stay at Intervale? Attend the Intervale Keyholder training! Keyholder status lasts for two years after training and consists of joining us at the Intervale Cabin to do basic maintenance and learning Intervale rules.

The focus of the workday portion will be our ongoing mouse infestation. We will be sealing entry points with steel mesh and killing as many mice as we possibly can. If you have an allergy or aversion to this work, please let Josh know so that he can find you an alternative assignment.

Itinerary

10:00 Meet at parking area at (directions will be emailed out prior to the training)

10:00-13:30: Work on the property until the mid-afternoon

13:30-14:00: Folks will disperse for a quick lunch break. We will meet back together at 2pm.

14:30-16:00 Rules training

16:00 depart

By default, we will assume that you will not stay at the cabin in the evening, however some guests can stay if they wish, subject to the COVID capacity policies outlined in the Required Reading. Get in touch with Josh early if you would like to stay.

Required Clothing

We will be working outside in the cold as much as the weather permits. Please bring warm clothing, close-toed shoes, and work gloves (if you have them).

There is not any running water on the property.

Bring a FFP2 mask or a respirator and lab goggles. We will be cleaning up mouse shit which can carry numerous nasty pathogens. Nitrile gloves will be provided, but if you can grab some that fit you particularly well then you should bring them.

If you can acquire a staple gun, please bring it along. They're very useful.
