Hard, ~18 miles, 3:30am wake up at Camelot Saturday morning. Join Rob, Maddie, and Jacob for a record-breaking (at least in recent winter school history) hike to summit Owl's Head in the Pemigewasset Wilderness. Several Winter School trips have tried, but none have made their turnaround time. This is a difficult, strenuous hike due to its length, several stream crossings (your feet will be submerged, waterproof boots a must), and steep sections. We will drive up Friday night, wake up at Camelot at 3:30am, and hit the trail relatively soon after. Expect to walk 3-4 miles in the dark back to the car at the end of the day. This hike will be epic in fun and adventure, but also the summit is in the woods with no views and is a slog to get to. Definitely "type 2 fun" (things that are more fun to remember later than experience at the time). Requirements: excellent physical shape, desire to move quickly and efficiently, familiarity with snow shoes and traction use, experienced and successful system to prevent blisters.

- Notes
You must be willing to drive up Friday night to Camelot, return to Boston or a cabin on Saturday night late. 1) Do you have a car? 2) How many passengers does it fit? 3) Describe your three most challenging winter hikes, how long were they what problems did you encounter and how did you solve them?
