We'll be sleeping in until after sunrise and departing Cambridge at 8:30 to head to Mt Wachusett, a one hour drive away. I called today and there is snow on the ground!!!
We will do a short hike (3 miles) route with a possible extension to Wachusett Meadows if people are feeling energetic. We'll work on layering to keep warm, but not too warm. We'll bring stoves and make hot cocoa. If the snow conditions are good, we will make a snowman. We'll generally have a good time and enjoy winter!
We will have a pre-trip meeting on Saturday at 2pm on zoom.
Since this is late in the game, let the leaders know if you need gear (boots or microspikes) and we can try to help you get those out of the office. I initially opened this trip to 6 participants in order to both enable first-come, first-serve signups, but also make sure to save room for drivers in the hopes that we don't need to rent a car, if the trip is full, but there are adequate drivers or you have a car, email the leaders and we will add you.
