We'll be heading to North Kinsman for a cold but beautiful hike on Saturday! This will be a difficult, approximately 7 mile hike with approximately 3000 feet of elevation gain. Since it will be a very cold day, we hope everyone will bring a thermos with their favorite warm drink or soup to enjoy along the way!
We plan to take the Lonesome Lake and Fishin' Jimmy Trails, with the option to stop and warm up in the Lonesome Lake Hut (remember to pack a mask for heading inside!).
Saturday is forecast to be very cold. If you didn't get a chance to go on a trip last weekend, it will be especially important to do a gear review at the pre-trip meeting in person on Thursday, and everyone should be sure to bring many layers.
There will be a mandatory pre-trip meeting on Thursday at the student center before the lecture to go over additional trip info and gear.
