Prerequisites
1. Must love (or be amenable to) dogs, 2. Prior winter hiking experience desirable but not required, 3. Comfortable hiking 9 miles in fresh snow

Join us and other early birds rising to hike up Hancock-a-doodle-doos!

Friday's forecast is calling for snow, so there will likely be fresh snow on the ground, hurray! There will also likely be a very adorable snow loving pupper joining which always brings extra joy.

We'll be aiming to do a full loop of both North and South Hancock (https://caltopo.com/m/R1AST), for a total of around 9 miles and about 2300' of elevation gain. Due to the forecasted snow, we will be using traction (definitely at least microspikes/snowshoes, potentially crampons).

Current forecast is for windchills of -15F to 0F, so layering will be key to success.

Come log two 4000 footers and (hopefully) good views on a beautiful winter day!
