We're tired of cute alliterative trip names. We just want to hike.

We'll be doing a nice hard loop up Lion's head and down Boott Spur hitting Washington and Monroe on the way. Here's the map. It's 10 miles, 5000 feet elevation gain, and nearly 6 miles above treeline.

This trail has a section of very steep snow climbing, so you should be comfortable on steep terrain in crampons.

  2. do you know the difference between glasses and goggles and it's significance for above treeline travel?
