Stay local this Saturday and join us for a day of easy hiking on sand dunes at Cranes Beach. We will leave the Boston/Cambridge area at a reasonable hour and drive to the Crane Wildlife Refuge. There, we will hike through the sand dunes and along the beach. Snowy owls like to winter there, so we will be on the lookout! And, at some point along the way we will stop to make chocolate fondue!
We will hike around 3 miles (with the potential to extend or reduce the trip depending on interest in the group), with no elevation gain. The weather will likely be windy, overcast, and in the upper 30s, so there will be opportunity to practice layering in warmer winter temperatures. No traction will be needed.
