Do you like snacks? Do you like hiking in the snow? Come join us for a hike around Tom, Avalon, Field, and (time allowing) Wiley. We'll hike up and down Tom, up Field, try to make our way over to Wiley, and then have a nice long sled down Avalon.
To up the fun quotient, all participants are asked to bring their favorite winter snacks to share - baked goods, homemade trail mix, quesadillas, maple syrup in a flask, whatever floats your gastronomical boat. We'll traipse around the snow, making merry, celebrating winter, and exchanging delicious winter snacking hacks.
This hike is around 9 miles, and aims to summit 3 of the 4,000 footers (Map: https://caltopo.com/m/6MM8)
We'll leave Boston around 5am Saturday morning. This trip has a hard return time to Boston of 6pm, so depending on timing, we may turn around before summitting Wiley. But fear not, there's never any turning around on snacks.
