Have you ever thought, man I wish I could know the thrill of crossing creeks in the winter? Or pondered what it would be like to experience type 2 fun? Well then you are in luck because do we have the have the trip for you! Join us and your MITOC peers on an Frodo-worthy adventure, minus an evil talisman and with more snacks!

We will be doing ~10.2 miles with ~3200 feet of elevation gain un to North Twin mountain. This will be a difficult hike and it will likely be lightly raining for at least a portion of the hike along with pretty windy conditions.

Due to land access issues (new property owners not welcoming hikers across their land), the Little River Road approach to North Twin Trail is no longer a feasible MITOC trip option. Parking on Route 3 at Haystack Road also presented a risk of getting towed. Therefore, the objective of this trip was shifted to Mt. Garfield and the group hiked the Mt. Garfield Trail.
