No plans for the long Labor Day weekend, but want to climb somewhere? Want to get a start on the sending season?

Come join in for a day of sport climbing at Rumney Buffalo Pit! (https://www.mountainproject.com/area/106289969/buffalo-pit)

Where and When:

Saturday 8/31 9:30 am ~ sunset at Rumney Buffalo Pit

Pre-reqs:

  • You must be a proficient lead belayer (have experience catching unannounced/unexpected lead falls outdoors; know how to give dynamic belays).
  • Be comfortable climbing moderate to hard routes, or be OK with just chilling and not climbing much. (See MP page to get an idea of the routes available)

Gear:

  • Helmet -- REQUIRED for all outdoor MITOC climbing trips
  • Harness, climbing shoes, chalk bag
  • Belay device (ATC/grigri, etc) with locking carabiner
  • Lunch / snacks
  • Water
  • Headlamp (optional)

Trip is dependent on weather conditions.
