Can run 5-6 miles comfortably

The Reservoir Trail in the Middlesex Fells is a moderately easy trail run at 6.2 miles and about 500 feet of vertical gain. We will meet at the South Dam Road Parking Lot and plan to depart at 6:35.

These runs will occur every Monday (this one is Tuesday due to Labor Day weekend) throughout the rest of the summer and maybe into the fall. They are for anyone who is new to trail running, is a frequent trail runner and would like to meet other trail runners, or is training for a race and looking to tack on more miles during the week.

The pace will be a fairly easy 10:30-11:00/mile. (For those that are new to trail running, know that tends to be a bit slower than road running. For this trail, you can expect to run about 1-2:00/mile slower than you would on the road.)

Depending on the number of people who attend as well as interest, some nights we might split into a faster group and a slower group, but the standard run is described above.

Fees: There will be no fees associated with this trip.

Transportation: - We will not organize car rides among trip members, but if you have a car and are willing to drive people, please mention where you will be leaving from in the notes.

  • If you need a ride, contact one of the drivers near where you live.

  • If you leave near Union Square, James is willing to offer rides.

  • There is public transportation that takes you near the fells.

  • You could also bike and/or run!

It's starting to get dark. Please bring a headlamp.
