Rescheduled from a couple weekends ago...hopefully this time without thunderstorms!!

Join us for a day of biking, beaches, and ice cream in Southern Maine!

We will drive up to Old Orchard Beach, which is right near the Saco River. We'll start by renting bikes* and then heading out on a 27-mile loop that will take us past the beach, along the river, through some farmland, and more! The terrain is relatively mild with some hills. We will be going at a slow to moderate pace, probably 10-12mph. There are also a few areas where we will cross large intersections and/or be in a high-traffic area with no shoulder. Because of this, it’s good that you have some familiarity with biking in high-traffic areas.

Once we finish our loop, we will drop off the bikes and get some ice cream!! We will bring said ice cream to the beach and eat it there, and then maybe hang out there for a little while depending on the weather.

*Bike rentals/bringing your own bike: We encourage you to rent bikes with us ($15-$20) so that we can squeeze more people in less cars. That said, if you love your bike and want to bring it, you are more than welcome to!
