Prior hiking in the Whites. Prior rock scrambling experience.

Wanna have a break? We will be heading to the Whites for two solid days of hiking. We will stay at the cozy MITOC Intervale cabin on Saturday night. Our stay at the Intervale will feature spending some quality time around a firepit where we will tell tales of our favorite adventures. If things get crazy we may even roast some marshmallows!

Please read the trip itinerary below and sign up only if you fell comfortable of the hikes. Note that Huntington ravine trail is considered the "most difficult and dangerous" hiking trail in the Whites.

There will a be a mandatory pretrip meeting on Thursday (6/20) at 6pm at the MITOC office.

Saturday:

  • Meet at student center turnaround early, drive directly to the trailhead
  • Mt. Washington via Huntington ravine trail (~9 miles, but very difficult rock scrambling)
  • Stay at the Intervale. Cook dinner and roast marshmallows at the fire pit.

Sunday:

  • Wake up early, quick breakfast
  • Hike Mt. Chocorua (~10 miles, moderate hike)
  • Back in Boston early afternoon
